At McBride Consulting, we pride ourselves on understanding how schools operate and the intricacies of being an effective teacher and administrator within the realm of public education. We know how much is expected of schools, and we strive to help you effectively do your job by providing the highest quality of services, resources, and training in a cost-effective manner.
OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM
For the past 25 years I have been dedicated to teaching and helping students, school staff and families. My goal has always been to create an environment for students to feel safe so that they can thrive and grow academically, socially and emotionally.
I started my journey as an elementary school teacher and then transitioned into the role of special educator. From there I moved into administration, first as a special education coordinator, then as a building principal for a PreK-8 school in beautiful Henniker, NH. I realized as a principal I missed working with students directly so I then went back to school at Antioch University and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
For the past 12 years as a BCBA it has been my passion to share my knowledge and experiences to all those working with children and young adults with diverse needs. I love providing specialized training to school staff, therapists, administrators, families and other BCBAs. Modeling THE best practices and strategies while also providing resources to ensure student success IS A TRUE PASSION FOR ME.
The creation of McBride Consulting is the result of my years in the field and my desire to bring together the best people that are all dedicated to helping create positive behavior change so that ALL students can lead their best lives!
As an ABA specialist for McBride Consulting, I help to provide practical, ABA-based solutions for managing behaviors while also maintaining close relationships with each student, as well as their paraprofessionals and case manager. To properly implement plans and provide helpful support to a special education team requires a personal approach, one that I wholeheartedly work to provide. Seeing the impact that this work has on the students is both heartwarming and rewarding. Making a difference in their lives makes me happier than words can describe.
As the integrator for McBride consulting, I also work to turn our visionary’s ideas into executable plans, ensuring the success of the business alongside the rest of our incredible leadership team.
In my free time I enjoy going to the beach, travelling, playing the drums, and spending time with friends and family. I’m working on mastering my second language (Greek), and I plan to learn more as I continue forward in life.
With a lifelong passion for education, I’ve had the privilege of working in the field across a variety of roles—from Special Education paraprofessional to Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and now as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I earned my Master’s in Behavior Analysis Practice from the Florida Institute of Technology.
What I love most about my work is the opportunity to connect with students, their families, and the school communities I serve. Building relationships and supporting meaningful growth for every individual is at the heart of what I do.
I’m a proud New England resident, mom of two. In my free time, I enjoy nature walks with my dog, Maui, and listening to music.
For the first 21 years of my career — from 2001 to 2022 — I worked in the same school district in various administrative roles. I started off as a Special Education Secretary for 7 years in a middle school, then spent 6 years as an Executive Secretary in a K-8th grade school, and finally the last 8 years as the Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent at the SAU.
I have extensive experience with the financial system of a SAU and schools.
OUR PEOPLE
My name is Shayna Phillion. I have been a behavior analyst for 10 years. I earned my Master’s in Behavior Analysis from Simmons College in Boston, MA, and have been dedicated to the field of Special Education since I was 18. My journey began as a para educator working with students with diverse needs and diagnoses. Over the years, I’ve continued to grow both personally and professionally. I am dedicated and passionate about supporting students to help them succeed and thrive for their futures. My strengths are in behavior management and developing effective, individualized behavior support plans to increase independence, functional communication, and self regulation.
Outside of work, I’m a proud parent to a fun-loving 4-year-old son. Together, we enjoy adventures like beach days, hiking, playing sports, and finding new ways to stay active and make lasting memories.
My name is Shannon Monkewicz, and I am a BCBA with McBride Consulting. I have my MS in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from The University of Southern Maine. I love watching the kids I work with grow and gain new skills. I am particularly interested in behavior management and developing programming for students to encourage skill acquisition.
In my spare time I enjoy being outside, gardening, going to the beach, and taking my dog for walks in the park.
Hi! I’m Sharon Valdez, and I have been a special education teacher/case manager for 16 years in grades K-12, working with students with intensive needs. I hold a Masters of Education in Secondary Social Studies and General Special Education from Southern New Hampshire University. In addition, I’m completing a Masters of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis at Endicott College.
I enjoy working with children and teens of all ages and helping school staff make necessary modifications and accommodations that allow the students to grow, reach their full potential, and gain independence.
When not working, I enjoy time at the lake or ocean with my family, being in nature, and reading books.
Hi, I’m Brandy Martin, and I'm currently enrolled at Capella University to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
One of the aspects I value most in my role as a Lead Registered Behavior Technician is the flexibility to work with a variety of children throughout the day, while also providing support and guidance to team members who work with them one-on-one. What I find most fulfilling is the meaningful impact we make in the lives of the children who need our support the most — helping them achieve their individualized goals while also fostering and celebrating the skills they already possess.
In my spare time I enjoy watching my favorite shows, spending time with all my pets — 3 cats and 1 dog — and a newfound hobby: going to the gym!
I earned my degree in Psychology in 2022 and have been dedicated to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis ever since. I have had the privilege of working with individuals ranging in age from 2 to 22 years old, and I truly love being a part of their growth and progress.
I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree in ABA with the goal of becoming a BCBA. I am excited to continue making a positive difference in the lives of the individuals and families I work with as an Applied Behavior Analysis Specialist for McBride Consulting.
My name is Susan Gerossie! I love being a Registered Behavior Technician, because I get to make a real difference in students’ lives every day. Helping students gain confidence, develop new skills, or communicate effectively for the first time is incredibly rewarding. As a RBT with McBride Consulting, I am consistently learning and growing alongside an amazing team of colleagues whose support and knowledge is invaluable.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and our very loved rescue dog, Riley. I also enjoy connecting with nature, hiking, kayaking, and camping.
Hi, I’m Karin Doherty! I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and have been working as an RBT for the past two years. The best part of my job is getting to watch my students grow, learn, and thrive. It’s so rewarding to see how much progress they make over time.
Outside of work, I live in southern New Hampshire with my husband, our three kids, and our dog.
I’ve been providing ABA services as a RBT for over 15 years. It is the most rewarding job that I’ve ever had. To see a student master a skill that they have worked on is such a wonderful thing to observe.
When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, the beach, and spending time with my 2 adult sons.
